Digital Communications Manager

The BFC is looking for an experienced Digital Communications Manager to join the team and work on communications and marketing across all channels at the British Fashion Council, leading with digital first. The Digital Communications Manager will play a key role in delivering the team objective of harnessing the collective power of the industry for growth. Specific aims are to future proof international events and communications strategy to grow the international profile of British fashion and BFC events and ensure that content and event experience adds value and is relevant for all audiences.  

 

Responsibilities

Business Skills

  • Creation and management of critical paths to meet deadlines and KPI’s
    Develop and review financial plans and budgets, addressing and resolving issues as appropriate to show best ROI
  • Management of communications strategy across all channels both digital and tradition
  • Management of digital marketing function of the BFC 
  • Works effectively with peers across all departments 
  • Collaborative approach to working to reach common goals 
  • Host 1:1 strategy and team meetings 
  • Problem solving 
  • Authorisation and sign-offs  on visuals, copy, team tasks, contracts etc 
  • Conducts effective appraisals, objective setting and performance management for all direct reports
  • Delivering individual tasks while maintaining focus on overall objectives Drives best practise behaviours and works as a team to meet BFC’s objectives to maintain integrity and reputation 
  • Demonstrates best practice in managing communications and quality standards 
  • Represents the BFC as an ambassador at events

 

Expertise Skills

  • Ability to develop and deliver a communications / marketing plan, based on BFC’s 3yr objectives as set out by the business and comms director and in collaboration with re-tail and comms managers. 
  • Management and delivery of creative and innovative campaigns across multiple channels and audiences to show results 
  • Experience in consumer marketing 
  • Understanding of multiple audiences and how best to develop campaigns to show results based on objectives and KPI’s 
  • Experience of online development and build projects
  • Understanding of data structure, management and CRM
  • Ability to set and manage KPI’s to show ROI – efficient reporting to show insight to develop strategy 
  • Storytelling to targeted audiences across multiple channels 
  • Creating scoping documents, proposals and briefs 
  • Oversee content creation, image edits, filming inline with audiences and brand guide-lines. To include the management, distribution and archiving.
  • Copywriting 
  • Responsible for the management and delivery of all channels including social
  • Marketing and communication analysis for internal reports, board reports and to set targets and strategy 
  • Gives presentations and inspires team to work to a common objective

  • Experience of writing reports to a high standard
  • Database/CRM knowledge or experience

 

Salary & Benefits

  • Job type: full time, permanent
  • Salary Band: £TBC - £TBC, dependent on experience
  • Standard company benefits, including 25 days annual holiday
  • Standard company working hours, flexibility required during events, exhibitions and busy periods
  • Confirmation of appointment and eligibility to benefits, subject to successful completion of a 3 month probationary period
