Drawing inspiration from the world of dance and the iconic styles of dancer Michael Clarke, this collection is a vibrant ode to movement, colour and individuality. With detachable straps, adjustable drapes and swinging silhouettes, each piece interprets the dynamic fluidity of dance and character. Focussing on fabrications associated with activewear such as stretch jersey and technical nylon; the work aims to reimagine the way that these materials are used in a fashion context. Print also plays an integral part in emphasising the theatrics and playfulness of the designs with bold polka dots jumping from garment to garment. These elements combine to create a wearable expression of artistic movement.
