Genderless designer, concentrating on functionality and transformability. My designs encourage a sustainable approach, emphasising minimalism and streetwear aesthetics. By marrying these elements, I aim to offer versatile pieces that adapt to the wearer's needs. My industry experience spans both Womenswear and Menswear, having worked with palmer//harding and Bianca Saunders. These roles have enriched my technical and creative skill set, shaping my collection development, and refining my work ethic. At palmer//harding, I delved into the art of movement and precision, while my time with Bianca Saunders immersed me in creative pattern cutting of contemporary menswear alongside understanding specialist software and processes within production. These experiences have influenced my design philosophy for creating inclusive fashion, merging my technical expertise with creative vision, offering thoughtfully designed garments that resonate with the modern, conscious consumer. Julie, my final collection, is inspired by my late mother and core memories from my upbringing. A memory of a feeling, of a time, of a person and of a place. Happiness and joy. Camping in the rain. Cornwall. Capturing the essence of my mother's memory in garments infused with sentiment. Drawing key influences from my mother’s eclectic taste concentrating on simple silhouettes and textural elements inspired by her jewellery. Detailing inspired by the construction of our family tent, influencing functionality and adaptability. Earthy colours married with natural fabrics invites comforting sensations associated with her presence. Contrasted with soft nylons reminiscent of rainy walks. Creating a transformable, textural and detail focused ready-to-wear genderless collection.
