During a recent ascent of Ben Nevis, I was struck by the critical role that high-quality technical garments play, particularly noting a significant gap in the market for women’s outdoor apparel that goes beyond the stereotypical shades of pink. This experience has profoundly influenced my studio practice, steering me towards the integration of technical fabrics designed for outdoor utility. Additionally, I have delved into the lives of the Inuit people, admiring their use of natural materials and the unique silhouettes they craft with resources like seal skins. My collection seeks to encapsulate the essence of Inuit culture, merging it with contemporary, functional garments designed for adventure and exploration.
