The Damsel, the Boxer, and the Knight. The collection's designs seek to embody the 'Grit and Grace' inherent in each. The collection started by gathering visual inspiration from fairytales. Characters that stood out to me were the damsel and the knight. I drew comparisons between the knight in Shining Armour and a modern-day Boxer and began to merge the two. I like to play with juxtapositions in my research and it is something I wanted to be apparent in my final collection. The project was oriented towards the creation of stylised looks symbolising the vulnerability of the damsel in distress, juxtaposed with more defensive elements evoking the imagery of the knight and the boxer. The collection embodies a fusion of resilience and elegance in each look.
