A contemporary interpretation of military uniforms formed through the referencing of authentic uniforms, camouflage and media exploring themes of military, focusing on the Polish show created in 1966 titled Four Tank-Men and a Dog. The collection comprises of traditional and contrastingly exaggerated elements; colour variations in print and military details that are manipulated across the body. Menswear garment blocks and references have been transformed into garments designed with women in mind. Traditional dress practice within military is emphasized and challenged through textile development; methods displayed are used to create intentional creases subverting the clean, tidy appearance whilst quilting is utilised to present original referenced functional design. Through continuous drape and placement exploration, the proportions and features are well considered for an effective outcome where potential for product and new elements of interest are combined.
