Kyungah Jo is a Korean Womenswear designer based in London. Jo’s final collection, after her internship experience at Craig Green and Kiko Kostadinov, focuses on ready-to-wear garments constructed as sculptures. She was fascinated by the fact that the process of making clothing and sculpture are in common which are draping, cutting, shaping, casting, and molding. ’Sculpted Body’ began to be constructed on a physical body shape with rounded shoulder developed into pleated sleeves. Following the curves and lines of natural body, fabrics are curved-pleated, draped and twisted surrounding the body. The wearers in her collection are sculpted as they are in such wearable pieces with functional details.
