Tak Fung is a designer specialising in menswear. His design aesthetics are based on architecture and his local culture. He grew up in Hong Kong, a city surrounded by skyscrapers and buildings that inspired him a lot. The collection reflects his childhood and neighbourhood by merging the city’s characteristics, such as tall buildings and midnight beauty. Since growing up in a working-class family, the collection explores Tak’s grandfather's and father’s occupations, both a bus driver with a midnight shift. Combining the architecture and the local bus-driving culture shows the vibe of the city’s unique scenery and family history. In addition to tailoring, Tak incorporates knits to show his craftsmanship in the collection. Tak has completed design internships with Givenchy and Nicholas Daley.
