A reflection of how my own grief has made me feel, and how it presents itself with each stage and emotion felt as your body and mind learn to processes those feelings. Mourning is a large part of grief and so removing all colour and my work being entirely in black, so the focus is on the textures in the pieces. Draping black fabric in a way that covers the face almost completely, linking with my historical research and how in times of grief people conceal themselves behind fabrics and textiles.
