My name is Edmond Karasony and I am a fashion designer living in London. I specialize in print and more, focusing on screen printing that imitates textures such as fur, lace, animal prints. My attention is generally caught by stories that encapsulate a dramatic narrative involving a femme fatale. I am obsessed with the idea of characters and of being whoever you want to be in your life. That’s why my graduate collection is about a spy who transformed herself into different personas to achieve her final goal. When I work on a collection I like to make as much as I can myself, so I can have control over the outcome. Working with drape to create new patterns inspired by old styles from the 18th century or from 1940 adding a modern twist. Everything is draped on the bias, even the suits. I feel like it gives freedom and lets the clothes be as fluid as my characters. I like to treat my collections as a journey. And I put everything the journey asks from me into it!
