As a sportswear design graduate, my work is driven by a love for the outdoors and a commitment to sustainability. Growing up near the UK’s stunning coastlines, I developed a deep connection with nature, particularly through surfing and climbing. These passions have significantly influenced my approach to sportswear design, blending style with functionality to meet the needs of active lifestyles. Surfing has taught me the importance of balance and resilience, lessons that translate directly into my design philosophy. I aim to create sportswear that not only looks good, but also performs well in demanding environments. The ever-changing nature of the ocean inspires me to design with adaptability in mind, ensuring that my pieces are versatile and durable. Climbing, another favourite activity of mine, has sharpened my focus on detail and durability. The challenges of the climb demand gear that is tough and reliable, qualities I strive to incorporate into every design. Whether tackling a rocky ascent or navigating city streets, my sportswear is built to support and enhance every adventure. Sustainability is a core value in my work. I believe the fashion industry must take responsibility for its environmental impact, and I am committed to using eco-friendly materials and processes. By focusing on durability and repairability, I design sportswear that stands the test of time, reducing the need for frequent replacements and promoting a more sustainable way of living. My education in sportswear design has equipped me with the skills to merge fashion with function. During my studies, I explored how design can meet the practical needs of active individuals while still being stylish. My goal is to create sportswear that empowers people to embrace their passions, whether they're surfing waves, climbing mountains, or simply enjoying the outdoors.
