My design identity is fun, experimental and creative. I enjoy creating strong concepts from conceptual ideas, my final project looked into fashion’s relationship with smoking. I love materiality, exploring with new yarns and building industry briefs, which led to my work being shown at Spin Expo in Shanghai this SS24 exhibition. I began my degree studying Textile Design so I thrive in the process of developing fabric, especially exploring textures and combining these to further enhance their material/yarn qualities. My time at university has taught me to be a conscious designer, to think of the wider world and the implications my practice has, not only the environment but people as well. I now see myself as a true Knitwear Designer as I love the technical side of this discipline and enjoy finding creative approaches to zero-waste manufacturing.
