My final year collection, titled "Unconscious Visions”, delves into the concept of surveillance, exploring themes of privacy and anonymity: where privacy becomes a distant memory and anonymity is becoming a luxury a few can afford in future. "Unconscious Visions" tells a compelling story of vulnerability and awareness, reflecting my deep concern about the current and future surveillance state. I want to portray a powerful narrative and design into a cohesive and impactful collection that will garner attention from peers and viewers. Beyond creating designs, climbing/bouldering exhilarates me. This hobby not only provides me with a thrilling escape but also pushes me to achieve my best, reflecting the dedication and perseverance I want to portray in my design work. During my second year at Nottingham Trent University, I won the NEXT Womenswear Competition. This gave me an opportunity to work for a summer internship with NEXT. During this internship, I have immersed myself in various aspects of design jobs, including technical and software pattern cutting, textiles design, and trend forecasting, gaining invaluable industry experience. Later in my career, I would like to continue designing for an awareness with an open mind. I would like to utilise the best of my expertise to influence and inspire others in the future.
