Heavily influenced on my upbringing in a semi-rural west Yorkshire village, the project explores key influences throughout my childhood. The landscape and moorlands in which I spent a huge amount of time, and the love of nature has greatly informed my collection. Through this project I also highlighted the influence of both my parents, who are slightly opposite in their likes and interests, I explored the notion that there can be harmony within those that do not conventionally go together. Key influences ranging from wildflowers to opposing textures, stone and mud, and my parents’ passions such as horses, and music have formed a bold and quirky modern menswear collection.
