In her work Anita likes to draw inspiration from unusual topics, aiming to challenge herself to find beauty where one wouldn't expect it. She is also driven to bring awareness to current social and environmental issues. Her final project is a reflection on her personal experience of working in a parcel delivery warehouse, where she started shortly after moving to the UK and continued during her time at the university. It's an attempt to bring pride and representation to a minimum-wage job that is often looked down upon in modern society. The collection also communicates a story of women's strength in a men-dominated environment, something that is very personal to her own experience and speaks to her resilient attitude in challenging territories. Powerful work wear contrasted with delicate lace, feminine bows, and sculpted silhouettes demonstrate Anita’s skill in storytelling which she has developed avidly within her final year of study and Coventry University. The use of unorthodox and upcycled materials has allowed for a unique approach to garment making, that has resulted in a collection that has not only been selected to debut on the 2024 GFW runway shortly before her graduation but has also won the BA (Hons) Fashion 2024 Concept Award.
