As a final year student at Coventry university, my home city, I’m excited to be preparing to graduate and entre my next stage in my career aspirations. Looking to greater my repertoire and versatility while expanding into new opportunities. I will be seeking new job roles that can give me new experiences and skills that further aid into positions like styling and womenswear. The latest project the “Huntsman’s Parade” consists of styling, design and photography to create detailed and well structure work, understanding the processes from start to finish of telling a story and the skills to execute it. This projects reflects something I have had an interest in at a young age which is nature, in depth I delved into taxidermy the preservation of beauty and natures beautiful design. Studying animals and insects in the British country side eco-system (birds, deer’s and butterfly’s). While my love for nature is shown throughout my work, yet I made an important stance for the effects on the environment and sustainability in this project. Working with materials such as copper, recycled leather, wool and recycled garments, I found that they fell beautifully with my designs of reflecting countryside wildlife with the earthy colours and textures. Going into my professional career, I aspire to take my skills and ability to venter into new ways of working and thinking, to collaborate and create with creativity and the importance in values shared around. To have the ability to create outcomes that will positively have a greater effect to our world, both in fashion and the planet.
