HI IM EMILY BROWNE, A FASHION DESIGN STUDENT FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF LEEDS. THIS PORTFOLIO SHOWCASES SOME OF MY FAVOURITE WORK FROM MY FINAL YEAR COLLECTIONS FROM BOTH MY INNOVATION AND DESIGN MODULES. EACH CONCEPT DRAWS ON INSPIRATION FROM A RANGE OF DIFFERNENT SOURCES, FROM OLD FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHS, TO BIODIVERSITY OF PLANTS, TO FESTIVAL WASTE AND OUTDOOR CLOTHING. I HAVE EXPERIMENTED IN EACH CONCEPT WITH DIFFERENT FORMS OF DEVELOPMENT USING TECHNIQUES SUCH AS ETCHING, MOULAGE AND KNIT, USING THE VISUAL INSPIRATION THAT I HAVE GATHERED THROUGHOUT MY PROJECTS. I THINK EACH CONCEPT REPRESENTS A DIFFERNET SIDE OF ME AS A DEISGNER AND ILLUSTRATOR, AND ALSO SHOWCASES MY ABILITY TO UPCYCLE WASTE AND UNWANTED FABRIC AND TRANSFORM IT INTO A FUNCTIONAL, FASHIONABLE COLLECTION OF OUTDOOR CLOTHING.
