Data Analyst
In a world where retailers and brands are continuously building their online offerings for consumers, being able to understand their data and metrics is crucial to grow business. Data that fashion businesses need to utilise can range from shopping transactions on their websites, engagement with social media posts, and click throughs from articles and advertising. All of these numbers provide important metrics to measure success and areas for improvement. All large brands or retailers will have this role within their company.
Data analysts will need a background in mathematics or economics as the work is number driven. Being able to translate large sets of data into digestible and simple results and recommendations is an essential skill. Analysts will work cross functionally with teams such as account managers, engineers, press and marketing departments, depending on the data they are working with. They will gather great insight across many parts of a fashion business and help contribute to growth and new strategies.
Understanding of the fashion landscape is really useful, whether its for a retailer measuring their sales success or a PR brand launching a new campaign.
