IPF Project Manager, Special Projects

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a unique and exciting opportunity that sits at the intersection of fashion and sustainability. 

The IPF Special Projects will see different projects being delivered out of the IPF including the BFC’s annual sustainability event, the IPF Forum.

The successful candidate will oversee the project work involved in multiple projects, responsible to ladder up success of these projects into the wider programme of work supporting the IPF Programme Lead. They will be accountable for the efficient and effective running and coordination of project management-related activities including project controls and governance, risk and issue identification and resolution, stakeholder engagement, management of budget and measuring progress against critical path, and reporting KPIs. 

The work falls within the IPF’s Low Carbon Transition Programme.

THE ROLE

Responsibilities

  • Project manage delivery of the annual Institute of Positive Fashion Forum 2025, and other special projects as agreed under the Low Carbon Transition Programme
  • End-to-end project management and governance ownership
  • Demonstrate current thinking in the sustainability area
  • Create & prepare project progress reports, for internal and external audiences
  • Ownership and management of the delivery plan to agreed scope, schedule, and budget
  • Provide structure & organise delivery of work packages, including mapping of activities to KPIs that lead to delivery of the project objectives
  • Responsible for highlighting issues, identifying dependencies across other projects as identified, unblocking obstacles and anticipating risks ahead of time
  • Develop and manage content for external Advisory Board updates
  • Ensure high quality work products and outputs
  • Demonstrate an innovative mindset and prepared to identify new processes
  • And any other duties that your Manager/Senior Member of the team deems relevant

Professional Experience & Skills

  • 5 years+ experience within a fast-paced client environment delivering to multiple stakeholders
  • 3 years+ experience of successfully managing projects to time and within budget, through strong project management skills
  • Experience of managing an event or a conference
  • Experience of using carbon footprint tools to measure impacts
  • Experience of reporting and preparing project deliverables for senior audiences
  • Recent sustainability experience, specifically understanding decarbonisation and circular economy
  • Previous experience of working across fashion value chain or within a fashion business beneficial
