Courtney Pitfield Graduate Portfolio

I graduated from the University of the West of England with a BA Hons in Fashion Textiles and am now based in East London. I specialise in innovative Textile Design – working in Print and across mixed-media. My creative aesthetic is bold and graphic with strong colour and motifs. I enjoy transforming ideas and concepts into both unique and commercial textile designs that can be applied in both fashion and interior contexts. My work is very hands-on and intuitive, I like to be immersed in a studio atmosphere and Team, and have confidence to work on my designs using a wide range of materials. As a specialist in print I have expertise in screen-print, sublimation and block print with proficient knowledge of adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign). Texture and colour are fundamental elements to my work and I am unafraid to make use of non-traditional materials. My greatest strengths are my adaptability to new situations and challenges, creative perception of things, flexible and spontaneous and working well collaboratively as well as independently. I bring a fresh and interesting way of working to achieve goals and strive to continue to blur the lines between fashion, textiles and art.
