A highly principled and ambitious clothing designer, actively marrying form and function; I merge technical Performance Sportswear Design practice with Classic Luxury Strategy and Principle. I am autonomous, curious and passionate. During apparel design internships with adidas Running and Arktis / Arkair; I became well-versed in the many facets of the commercial apparel design scene. There I designed and managed 2 collections that were released in Spring / Summer 2024, as well as multiple individual technical styles; becoming experienced in managing toile reviews, garment fittings, and testings; and proficient in the creation of flats, illustrations, and tech packs, using the Adobe Suite. Furthermore updating collection plans, and assisting show preparations. For my final BA(Hons) Sportswear Design Collection, I simultaneously explored the definitions of Sportswear and Luxury, with a focus on defining design principles and creating new ways of working. I became obsessed with ‘good design’ and Luxury strategy. The Heist collection serves the needs of the unorthodox worker; treating criminality as a sport. Here a gang committing a bank heist needs functional luxury workwear to complete their task as a team; the collection meets the needs of the gang, both in physical and emotional function; as well as aesthetics. With a strong foundation of creative pattern cutting, each garment in The Heist collection addresses the specific needs of key archetypes in the heist. Featuring hidden pockets for The Thief, emergency handcuff keys for The Driver, and a physique-enhancing drape for The Muscle. A ‘Dirt Splatter’ motif runs throughout to disguise staining and distracts the eye, so the gang may blend into high-class crowds with ease.
