• 59 catwalk shows and 24 presentations to take place over 6 days
• 120 UK and International emerging and established, ready to wear and accessories designers at The Exhibition at London Fashion Week (LFW)
• Vodafone announced as new principal sponsor of LFW from February 2012
• Canon announced as official imaging partner of LFW
• 10th Anniversary of TOPSHOP sponsoring NEWGEN, London’s leading talent identification and showcase initiative
• The Exhibition at LFW will play host to 13 Estethica designers, 15 NEWGEN Sponsored by TOPSHOP designers and 4 Multibrand Showrooms
• 5 Headonism designers will showcase their designs in an instillation in the East Wing as part of this seasons exhibition
• Brand new fine jewellery initiative BFC Rock Vault Sponsored by the International Palladium Board is launched this season where 10 selected jewellers will showcase their A/W12 collections on the Terrace, Somerset House
• The BFC introduces its 3rd showspace; the ‘Embankment Gallery Showspace’ will host 11 designers shows this season
• BFC Fash/On film sponsored by River Island, an exciting new fashion film initiative is introduced this season providing a showcasing opportunity for fashion designers and film makers during LFW
• New Designers on schedule this season include Belstaff, McQ, Moschino Cheap and Chic, Stella McCartney and Thomas Tait
• On the catwalk there are 6 NEWGEN, sponsored by Topshop, designers: David Koma, Holly Fulton, J.JS Lee, J.W. Anderson, Michael van der Ham and Simone Rocha
• Jonathan Saunders has been announced as this years BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund winner
• Four Fashion Forward designers will show on the catwalk: Henry Holland, Louise Gray and Mary Katrantzou and one menswear designer James Long
• International Fashion Showcase, a project created by the British Council and British Fashion Council showcasing over 80 international designers in 19 embassies and cultural institutes across London
• Menswear day, now in its 7th season, has 7 shows, 4 salon shows and 2 presentations
• London Collections: Men will launch in June 2012. Running from 15th – 17th June, this will kick start the Menswear calendar
• 2 NEWGEN MEN, sponsored by TOPMAN, designers are showing on the catwalk: Christopher Shannon and J.W. Anderson
• Over 5,000 visitors are expected: buyers, TV & radio crews, journalists and photographers
• Media coverage equals or exceeds most major news and international sporting events
• UK media coverage each season exceeds £100m and media coverage from the International Guest Programme exceeds £61m (source: Precise)
• It is estimated that orders of over £100m are placed during LFW each season; the International Guest Programme alone generates over £74m of orders
