The British Fashion Council (BFC) is enhancing its live and on-demand video coverage of London Fashion Week SS12 in a major new partnership with Rightster.
Rightster’s Advanced Video Streaming (AVS) team will work closely with the BFC during London Fashion week, enabling publishers, designers, brand sponsors and advertisers to maximise the value of their involvement with the event. Rightster is providing live streaming support, publisher distribution, monetisation services, and integration of video content across platforms including Facebook.
Rightster’s innovative video rights and distribution system will enable international publishers and media partners of the BFC to easily access pre-monetised, official live and on-demand content. The Rightster system will enable publishers to create their own customisable video-playlists, incorporating both their own video and the official BFC content. Publishers can also commission additional, bespoke packages through Rightster to further enhance and differentiate their LFW coverage, tailoring their video to their audiences. BFC-approved titles will be able to utilise ‘stream switching’ technologies to create their own live TV shows around the event, adding personal commentary to live streams, and interacting directly with their audience.
As part of the BFC’s on going commitment to supporting designers through digital innovation, Rightster will provide all designers with the option to live stream their runway shows across multiple sites and platforms including Facebook - offering designers the opportunity to create a lasting legacy around their shows, and build online communities of fashion consumers.
Event sponsors, including Canon and Vodafone will be able to use Rightster to maximise the impact of their sponsorship, through the management and distribution of their branded in-event content, media inventory buying, organising product placement and commissioning additional video content. The BFC will use the Rightster system to retain granular control over all media buys around the official content.
By partnering with Rightster, the BFC is able to continue its commitment to the promotion of UK fashion and design around the world, ensuring international publishers are able to easily access official, sought after LFW content and enabling British designers to promote themselves to a global audience.
