Harrods Magazine and the British Fashion Council (BFC) are delighted to announce the winners of the prestigious ‘Star of Tomorrow’ competition; an initiative to support and nurture British talent. Trina Outram and Lewis Firth will join the award-winning Harrods Magazine editorial team in July to complete a three month internship in fashion styling and writing respectively.
A shortlist of ten finalists presented their work at the BFC Headquarters at Somerset House, to a judging panel made up of four leading-industry experts including Deborah Bee, Editor-in-Chief of Harrods Magazine; Anne Tyrrell, Chair of the BFC Colleges Council, Caroline Rush, Chief Executive of British Fashion Council and Jess Cartner-Morley, Fashion Editor of The Guardian.
The now annual competition, open to students at member of colleges of the BFC Colleges Council, aims to scout and nurture emerging British talent, providing a platform to launch their careers in a particularly competitive and dynamic industry. The prize will allow the two winners to get a taste of the world’s most famous department store and its leading publication - the Harrods Magazine.
