This afternoon the British Fashion Council celebrated the launch of LONDON show ROOMS Men January in Paris with an opening brunch. The event was co-hosted by Ben Cobb, Editor-in-Chief of Another Man and Tim Blanks, Editor-at-Large of Business of Fashion.
Ben Cobb said: "It's an honour to be asked by the BFC to support the AW16 menswear edition of LONDON show ROOMS Paris. Another Man has championed many of the exhibiting designers within our pages so helping them launch their new collections overseas feels like a natural extension of our commitment to their inspiring talent."
Tim Blanks said: "What is still unique about the LONDON show ROOMS is the humour, the commitment, the passion and the RANGE of the participants. Always makes me feel better!"
Over the next four days, the 19 designers showing their AW16 collections, many of which debuted during London Collections Men in January, are: Agi & Sam, Alex Mullins, Bobby Abley, BOY London, Christopher Shannon, CSB London, Diego Vanassibara, E. Tautz, Edward Crutchley, James Long, JASMB London, Liam Hodges, Lou Dalton, Maharishi, Martine Rose, Pieter, Sibling and MAN (Charles Jeffrey & Rory Parnell-Mooney).
Launched in 2010, LONDON show ROOMS Men is a key part of the BFC's commitment to supporting and mentoring emerging British designers, providing them with a unique opportunity to promote themselves outside of London. The initiative has grown season on season, galvanising support for London’s most promising menswear talents including Astrid Andersen, Christopher Kane, Christopher Raeburn, J.W. Anderson and Nasir Mazhar. Designers are selected based on optimum opportunity to engage local media, retailers, stylists and the broader fashion communities around the globe.
LONDON show ROOMS Men runs from Friday 22nd to Tuesday 26th January 2016, 10am to 8pm (closing at 7pm on 26th January) at Le Loft – 3 Cour Bérard – Impasse Guéménée (off 28 rue Saint Antoine) – Paris 75004.
