London Fashion Week is city-wide celebration of fashion, including London Fashion Week Festival, which showcases why London is recognised globally as a centre for fashion excellence. This September there are a number of ways the public can get involved with fashion, from digital engagement to events across the city. All the below activities and events are open to the public.
LONDON FASHION WEEK FESTIVAL: The Store Studios, 180 Strand
Thursday 21st – Sunday 24th September
London Fashion Week Festival welcomes 14,000 people across four-days offering the ultimate fashion experience to consumers; with curated shopping galleries from over 150 international and British brands, catwalk shows, industry talks and style presentations. The event allows consumers to experience the atmosphere of London Fashion Week in its official venue and gain an insight into the fashion industry.
This season London Fashion Week designers Bora Aksu, Edeline Lee, Fyodor Golan and Galvan will showcase their AW17 collections on the catwalk at LFWF. The BFC have also curated a series of educational and exclusive talks from industry insiders hosted by stylist and fashion expert Martha Ward. Speakers include catwalk designers ASHISH, Alice Temperley and Fyodor Golan; a careers in fashion talk from some top fashion editors; curators from the V&A discussing their Balenciaga exhibit, a Maybelline New York masterclass and a hair trends tutorial from TONI&GUY x Label.M.
This season’s limited edition LFWF tote bag has been designed by Mother of Pearl.

LONDON FASHION WEEK LIVESTREAMING WITH YAHOO SYLE
Friday 15th September
As London Fashion Week’s Official Live Partner, Yahoo Style will be livestreaming every show in the BFC Show Space on 15th September. Zara Martin will also be hosting a livestream throughout LFW’s official venue for the whole day, covering everything from the Designer Showrooms to the best street style. TOMMY HILFIGER PRESENTS TOMMYNOW
Tuesday 19th September
Tommy Hilfiger will reveal their most recent collaboration with Gigi Hadid, amongst other collections, at an appropriately massive see-now buy-now show in London next week. Consumers are able to win tickets to the show by entering any UK store and completing a Hilfiger Club form. They can also win tickets from a variety of our Tommy’s partners including ASOS, THE BFC, Fenwick and Flannels (T’s and C’s apply). Consumers who are unsuccessful in winning tickets are able to watch a live stream of the show in Tommy’s Regent Street store along with a DJ, drinks and competitions.
NEW LOOK BRINGS LFW TO ITS CUSTOMERS: London, Birmingham & Manchester
Saturday 16th – Thursday 21st September
As part of its first season as an Official Partner with the British Fashion Council and London Fashion Week, New Look will be giving customers an insider’s look at LFW through exclusive behind the scenes content. New Look will be hosting in-store customes events across the weekend at its Oxford Circus store on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th - get filmed on the exclusive moving catwalk and pick up the complimentary fashion treats on offer. The following week, on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st, New Look will host store events in Birmingham and Manchester in partnership with the BFC, taking LFW outside of the capital.

NOWNESS PRESENTS THE GATE: The Store Studios, Surrey Street, London WC2R 3DA
Saturday 16th – Sunday 17th September
During the weekend of London Fashion Week NOWNESS will present The Gate, the debut single from Bjork's upcoming album, with a film screening at the Store Studios. The music video has been created by Andrew Thomas Huang, Bjork, Alessandro Michele and James Merry. Screenings are free and open to the public.
OCEAN OUTDOOR SCREENS: Nationwide
Thursday 14th – Wednesday 20th September
The BFC will be taking London Fashion Week content nationwide, screening highlights to outdoor screens across Birmingham, Leeds, London, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle. This is made possible thanks to a partnership with Ocean Outdoor.
THE MAY FAIR x EMILIA WICKSTEAD: Stratton Street windows, The May Fair Hotel

Fashion Together spotlights collaborations by Rick Owens and Michèle Lamy, Nick Knight and Daphne Guinness, Shaun Leane and Alexander McQueen, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Gareth Pugh and Ruth Hogben, and Thom Browne and Stephen Jones. Never-before-seen photographs and sketches sit alongside garments, films, photo prints and recordings of the pairs in conversation with the curator, Lou Stoppard. The show focuses on the process and output of the duos, and showcases the work of individuals from a broad range of roles within the fashion industry.
