This year The Fashion Awards 2016 will celebrate the best of British and international talent from the global fashion community at the iconic Royal Albert Hall on the 5th December 2016.
- £10million to be raised in the next 10 years for the BFC Education Foundation
- 27,300 grams is the total weight of the 14 Swarovski Crystal awards designed by Mark Newson
- 8,000 individual Swarovski crystals will be hand-hung on Fredrikson Stallard’s Prologue installation at the front of the Royal Albert Hall
- 4,000 guests will attend The Fashion Awards
- 1,960 MAC products are in guests’ goodie bags
- 1,500 key members of the fashion industry were invited to put forward their preferences for each award category
- 800 miles is the distance the trophies have travelled from Swarovski’s headquarters in Wattens, Austria to the Royal Albert Hall in London
- 700 bottles of evian natural mineral water and 700 bottles of Badoit naturally sparkling mineral water will be served
- 650 Cîroc Vodka Martinis will be shaken to taste by mixologists at the tables and 650 Cîroc Vodka & Lavazza Espresso Martinis will be served after dinner
- 300 Swarovski crystal strands measuring over 1 kilometre in length will be integrated into the event at the Royal Albert Hall

The Fashion Awards 2016 will be the inaugural annual fundraiser gala for the British Fashion Council Education Foundation charity. The Education Foundation offers scholarships to talented young people to study BAs and MAs and offers funding for apprenticeships to develop much needed industry skills. The British Fashion Council aims to raise £10million over the next ten years for the charity. Donations to the Education Foundation can be made online via fashionawards.com/donate.
