The SWITCH to BLUE campaign aims to bring the fashion industry together to lead in ambitious environmental action, for a more sustainable and greener future
British Fashion Council and Roland Mouret have joined forces with Arch & Hook to launch the SWITCH to BLUE campaign to bring the fashion industry together to lead in ambitious environmental action, for a more sustainable and greener future. The SWITCH to BLUE campaign asks that fashion businesses commit to replacing their sample hangers from a single-use plastic solution with no circular life cycle, to Arch & Hook marine plastic hangers. Based on current trajectories by 2050 there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish. An estimated 40 billion hangers are produced for the US fashion industry alone. The majority of these will be used once with 85% ending up in landfill, taking more than 1,000 years to degrade.
