The Fashion Awards will take place on Monday 5th December 2022, returning once again to the iconic London venue of The Royal Albert Hall. The event, one of the most anticipated moments of the global fashion calendar, celebrates fashion at the intersection of culture and is a global entertainment platform for brands, creatives, designers, artists and tastemakers who come together to celebrate the industry.
In 2021, the BFC Foundation Award was created. The new award recognises an emerging designer talent, who over the last 12 months has had a major creative impact on global fashion, from those receiving financial and mentoring support from the BFC Foundation in this year. This includes the NEWGEN in partnership with TikTok recipients, the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund winner and shortlist, the BFC/GQ Designer Menswear Fund winner and shortlist and the BFC Fashion Trust recipients.
Congratulations to Nensi Dojaka for winning this award on it’s inaugural year.
This award wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the BFC Foundation Patrons, we would like to thank you for your continued support and we hope to see some of you there again in December.
The Fashion Awards is a fundraiser for the BFC Foundation and focuses on celebrating excellence in the fashion industry and supporting the future pipeline of creative talent. We have a duty to support the younger generation, keep them inspired and motivate them to know that there is a future in creativity. Never before has there been more need for this support. Curator, creative director and co-founder of Dazed Media, Jefferson Hack, will receive a Special Recognition Award for Cultural Curation at The Fashion Awards 2022. The Special Recognition Award for Cultural Curation is one of the Special Recognition Awards that celebrate outstanding contributions to the fashion industry. With a portfolio that includes some of the world’s most influential media brands including AnOther Magazine, Dazed, Dazed Beauty and NOWNESS as well as Dazed Studio, Hack is directly responsible not only for curating culture but building bigger futures for so many people he crosses paths with.
