This week, we launched the fifth series of our podcast, Fashion Forum. Re-launching with a new look, the series will explore topics that are impacting the creative industries. With knowledge sharing at its core, the podcast will highlight the relationship between the creative industries, bring the creative community together and platform the BFC network.
Episode one, available to stream today, brings together Martine Rose, founder of her eponymous menswear brand and winner of the British Menswear Designer of the Year at The Fashion Awards 2023, and freelance writer and author of ‘The Ten’, Lauren Cochrane, for an insightful conversation about what it means to be a designer today and explores the current generation of rising fashion talent in the UK.
The fifth series of Fashion Forum features 12 episodes that will be released monthly. Future guests for this season include leading industry opinion formers; Campbell Addy, James Corbin, Jawara Alleyne, Karoline Vitto, Kirsty McGregor, Lovelle, Odunayo Ojo (Fashion Roadman), Stavros Karelis, Stefano Martinetto, Tolu Coker, Tora Northman, Victoria Jenkins and Yasmin Jones-Henry.
Each episode brings a broad range of voices, sharing personal experiences on how they navigate the industry, as well as discussing the most pressing issues in fashion today, including textile innovation, the fashion industry in the socio-economic landscape, cultural identity and diversity, and social media.
The Fashion Forum podcast launched in June 2020 and has featured over 70 industry professionals and experts to date. Previous guests include Bianca Saunders, Foday Dumbuya, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Priya Ahluwalia, Sophia Neophitou, Susie Lau and many more.
