We are delighted to announce that creative director, publisher and Global Editor-in-Chief of 10 Magazine, 10 Men Magazine and 10+ Magazine, Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou will receive a Special Recognition Award for her contribution to the fashion industry at The Fashion Awards 2024 presented by Pandora (TFA), taking place on Monday 2nd December at the Royal Albert Hall, London. TFA, organised by the BFC, are the primary fundraiser for the BFC Foundation and celebrate the role of fashion at the intersection of culture and entertainment, spotlighting creative talent and telling the stories of the year in fashion through the lens of purpose, excellence, and creativity.

The Special Recognition Award honours outstanding contribution to the fashion industry. Over the course of her illustrious career, Neophitou-Apostolou has established herself as one of the most influential and respected creative forces in fashion. From her beginnings as an assistant at Vogue, through to the launch of her own publishing empire where she serves as Global Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of 10 Magazine, launched in 2000, 10 Men, launched in 2003 and 10+ launched in 2018, she has strived to push the boundaries of creativity. Neophitou-Apostolou has successfully kept print alive in a turbulent landscape where digital reigns - as evident with 10 Magazine’s global expansion in the UK, Australia, USA, Japan and most recently, Germany.

Neophitou-Apostolou has helped create a new visual language in her roles as Fashion Director and Creative Director of publications such as The Independent Magazine, Sunday Times Style, Vogue China, Japanese Vogue, Russian Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar UK while also contributing to Dazed & Confused, i-D, Italian Vogue and Purple. Working alongside some of the most exciting designers including Antonio Berardi, Roland Mouret, Richard Nicoll, Katharine Hamnett, Sinha Stanic and Elie Saab, Neophitou-Apostolou has helped steer their visions and has pushed them to new heights. For 10 years, Neophitou-Apostolou was the Collection Creative Director of Victoria Secret, and has designed her own collection of luxury travel essentials for Pringle of Scotland, Perfect 10. Neophitou-Apostolou has also been the Chair of the BFC Press Committee for over a decade.

Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou: “I am truly honoured to be receiving the Special Recognition Award. I feel so fortunate to be doing what I love and am passionate about every single day and being part of a team that treasures our world as much as I do. I feel lucky to have worked so closely with the BFC for over 20 years and have been the head of the press committee for a decade. We have effected so much positive change in our industry and seen it grow and flourish. It has been a true privilege to be recognised at the Fashion Awards. I want to thank my amazing team at 10 who without them, none of this would be a reality and all the brilliant inspirational creatives in every corner of my world who’ve been with me on my journey and filled it with beauty and fantasy I could never have imagined possible, truly a dream every single day."
