We have now completed our 3-month deadstock pilot showroom with the Materialist on Regent Street.
The Materialist is a marketplace that connects fashion houses, designers and other visionaries with high-end suppliers' excess inventories, providing them an opportunity to explore and purchase from a curated selection of over 5,000 high-quality deadstock fabrics.
During our pilot, we have been capturing insights across the customer journey, with an aim to build data that helps us understand the potential of deadstock fabrics and the role materiality and traceability can play in a circular fashion economy. We will be feeding our findings into our interim report, due October 2024.
In addition to the showroom, the materialist has hosted a series of six roundtables and seminars throughout the summer, bringing together leaders in the sustainability sphere. Our events focused on questions including challenges and opportunities around eco-design, the role of legislation in advancing circular fashion, and the importance of choosing the right materials in reaching sustainability goals.
Due to popular demand, the showroom will remain open until December 13th, 2024.
Whether you’re a designer, artist, visionary or simply curious to know more about deadstock textiles, book your appointment here to visit the showroom and learn more about the initiative.
