BRITISH FASHION COUNCIL CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF LONDON FASHION WEEK PRESENTED BY 1664 BLANC IN NEW YORK, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UK CONSULATE AND THE BICESTER COLLECTION

WHAT: Ahead of New York Fashion Week, Caroline Rush CBE, CEO of the British Fashion Council and Hannah Young, His Majesty’s Consul General to New York, hosted a reception to celebrate 40 Years of London Fashion Week, in partnership with The Bicester Collection.

WHERE: British Consul General’s Residence, New York

WHO: Business and creative leaders from the UK and US fashion sector, including Alex White (Elle), Anita Bitton (The Establishment), Dora Fung (10 Magazine), Eva Chen (Meta), Glenda Bailey, IB Kamara (Dazed), Marigay McKee, Nicholas Daley, Rob Stringer (Sony Music Entertainment), Radhika Jones (Vanity Fair), Tyler Mitchell, Zanna Roberts Rassi and brands including All Saints, Barbour, Lacoste and MAC.

Caroline Rush CBE, CEO of the British Fashion Council, said “We are delighted to be here in New York at the Consul General's residence ahead of New York Fashion Week to celebrate the impact of London Fashion Week presented by 1664 Blanc over the last 40 years, and in particular, the opportunities it has created for commercial, cultural and creative partnerships between London, New York and the wider USA. Our anniversary year provides a brilliant occasion to celebrate the event's cultural significance and its ability to unite creative communities globally. Many thanks to Hannah Young, His Majesty’s Consul General to New York, for hosting us and to our Patrons and, in particular, to The Bicester Collection for their support of this event. We look forward to 40 more years of collaboration and partnership."

Hannah Young, His Majesty’s Consul General to New York, said: “It was wonderful to celebrate 40 years of London Fashion Week with the British Fashion Council and our New York friends.
