Sitting With Masculinity

As a menswear designer, my collection draws inspiration from the strength and simplicity of Monobloc chairs as well as male vulnerability whilst also merging with bold block colours. Throughout my design process, I found myself drawn to the idea of therapy and its portrayal as an uncomfortable experience for some individuals. I found comfort in using my interest in psychology as a basis for my research as the clothes I choose to wear on any given day can usually indicate my mood before I am even aware myself. Challenging the traditional perspectives of therapy, my collection aims to spark conversations and encourage dialogue on the intricacies of personal development. In my garments, I strive to balance protection and vulnerability, creating a visual narrative that resonates with individuals on their personal journeys. Through bold colours, individuals can choose which colour will strengthen or protect them depending on their mood that day.
