I'm a womenswear designer specialising in knitwear. My practice has been influenced by zero-waste concepts. I value learning about sustainable practice, from responsible supply chain management, bio-engineered eco-friendly textiles to circular business models that promote clothing longevity. My passion for knit has grown immensely throughout my final collection. I explored the Victorian Era and extracted details found in an antique doll dress into knit surfaces and construction samples. I was further inspired by Aran jumpers and closely explored symbolism of cable designs. Then found a passion in symmetrical lace design inspired by the structures and transparency found in stained glass windows. Crochet is also a craft I enjoy and found an interest in ‘’crochet lace’’. I’m most drawn to intricate details and couture processes when producing a garment. I found an interest in whole garment knitting and hope to explore the world of 3D knit/textile software’s in the future.
