Misos Guné (Woman Hatred) is an artistic tale centered around the Original Sin of Eve. In this story, the forbidden fruit is the pomegranate which symbolizes the loss of life. By eating it, Eve becomes the mother of Death. This project’s main focus is placed on tailoring, leather molding and the use of heavy and light materials such as denim and silk by playing with the structures of the garments. The equilibrium of the collection represents the balance of the patriarchy, a hopeless dream. The roots of this project sprouted in my childhood because of my biological gender, utterly being considered a mistake. According to the unwritten doctrines of the church, the first born of a new generation must be a boy, otherwise it is believed to be bad luck. Misos Gunè represents the paradox of the patriarchal laws. THE NAKED BODY UNDER THE CROSS. It is a statement impregnated in pain, suffering and Death.
