For my final collection, I chose to examine a variety of shapes from unusual architectural and furniture forms and structure to explore their silhouettes. Through the development of these silhouette, I began altering the body and create various distortions. it has been fascinating to see what can be achieved when applying this technique to the human body. I have used Bemis adhesive, a layer of glue that is added between the fabrics which bond and stiffen them as it is flexible and can create and hold shapes that normally draping cannot. I have used long strips of fabric and shapes to distort the shell garments I have created.
