Trackies & Trainees

My collection is a series of hybrid garments that fuse the energy of the street with traditional Northern heritage, inspired by my families obsession with Everton Football Club, passed down for generations. My design handwriting examines the relationship between sportswear and femininity, whilst conveying my love of colour and texture. I am revisiting my childhood growing up in Liverpool and reminiscing on how me, my sister, and cousins used to dress in the mid 90s and early 00s. The basis of my collection is formed by legendary shopping trips with my Nan and Grandad on our birthdays to visit Storm, Bon-Bleu and Wade Smith to find the perfect trackie and trainees (AKA tracksuit and trainers).
