My work has a primary focus on femininity whilst also giving equal opportunities for any gender to wear the garments. I have worked conceptually, which involves innovative pattern cutting techniques in order for adaptability, so that any gender can wear the garments made. I have intended, throughout my work, to think equally about how someone with different proportions could wear my garments creating different styling techniques and multiple end results. I hope for my collection to allow people to view clothing with a different perspective, opening their mind to what they wear. I have recognised throughout my research that many men are often hesitant on becoming feminine and accepting their true self, this lead me to look into inner beauty. I used the inner body as a metaphor of accepting ones true beauty, looking at something that is often considered ugly, such as veins or intestines, is flipped to become beautiful.
