The brainchild of the BFC/Bazaar Fashion Art’s Foundation, Britain Creates Fashion and Art Collusion is recorded for posterity in a box set which includes two books, nine posters of the finished artworks along with a CD containing an audio track collaboration. Published by Booth-Clibborn Editions.
The first of the two books contains an introduction by Lucy Yeomans and an essay by Iain R. Webb. A professor of Fashion at the RCA and Central St. Martins, Webb has been part of the London art and fashion world for thirty years and is a renowned stylist, author and curator; plus biographies of designer and artists involved with the project alongside additional rough sketches, notes and ideas of their collaborative efforts.
The second book includes visual interviews of artists’ and designers’ in their studios, highlighting their joint creative process with a foreword by Britain Creates Fashion + Art Collusion curator Susanna Greeves and photography by Gautier Deblonde. The posters of the nine finished artworks are photographed by Stephen White.
