Hi, I’m Beth a fashion design graduate from University of Salford. My initial inspiration came from the idea of the contrast between two opposites and how they can be as one. This inclined the research into ugly vs beauty and the contemporary concern behind the strict beauty standards being displayed in the media. I decided to take inspiration from the imperfections of the natural body that we habitually would hide replicating these elements in textiles to encourage positivity behind our imperfections.
