FOUND SONORITY

“Found Sonority” maturely plays into youthful curiosity, taking reference from automaton and mechanism, dissecting and personifying the hierarchy within an intimate orchestra. The narrative follows a disorganised perfectionist (the conductor), consistently foraging for entity that spark their inquisitiveness then hoarder! Utilising red herrings to cover their tracks yet leave no stone unturned… My name is Omar Jordan Stewart, 20 - I grew up in Kings Heath, Birmingham until my Bachelor Degree. The youngest son of three so naturally I wonder a lot and spend far too much time doing so. My father is an antique entrepreneur specialising in Horology which has always furthered my sense of craftsmanship and ultimately informed my design process. My mother’s inquisitiveness, problem solving and decision making has been a pivotal inspiration and defined my taste.
