The concept for my FMP brings out unconventional forms of masculinity and that there is not just one form of man or one way men can dress. I believe there is a bigger message behind my concept that is much broader than men, it speaks to everyone. I've never been one to view clothing as limited to the societal norms of each gender. I see and use clothing as a form of expression that can have different meanings from day to day. Imagine clothes are a piece of music. If you close your eyes and listen to a certain song, depending on a certain time in your life, you would move and feel different emotions for the person next to you or even yourself. Through my research, I have drawn not only elements from traditional masculinity, but also none traditional masculinity and historical masculinity. Mark Bryan was a turning point in my research, with interviews with Mark advancing my work on the idea that he admired a woman's body not sexually but through the power it exerted when wearing heels.
