Nervosi

Womenswear designer interested in high fashion and evening wear. Interned at Victoria Beckham in the atelier where I gained a vast knowledge of garment construction and fit. My collection ‘NERVOSI’ was inspired by Alzheimer's and the deterioration of the mind and body due to this disease. I drew a lot of inspiration from the nervous system, particularly in the way it connects and intertwines every part of the body to one another and created my own interpretation of the spinal cord using a smocking technique I developed. My collection features 3 types of leather with which I was able to really learn about and work with the material. For the collection I wanted to take something that brings people so much sadness and create beauty out of it, exploring the boundaries between beauty and darkness allowing the light to come through.
