Womenswear designer interested in streetwear and textile development, working with hands-on construction methods in order to develop unique silhouettes. Experience interning with up-cycling brand E.L.V Denim allows for an understanding of innovative sustainability. The collection ‘With Clenched Fist’ is a tomboyish womenswear collection which seeks to find beauty and subtle femininity in the brutal sport that is boxing. With an archive of boxing equipment to-hand due to my brother’s involvement in the sport, this collection inspects and mimics the overlooked intricacies of the glove, playing with techniques such as gathering, elastication, padding and lacing to create sexy yet comfortable garments with a powerful visual impact that reflects the ferocious nature of the sport.
