BAINS

As a final year BA Fashion Design student, 'BAINS' is the deeply rooted story of my elder brother the boxer, who became an unrivalled champion. Boxing being the lifeblood for my brother epitomised strength, beauty and poise. The juxtaposition of boxings' toughness in contrast to the elegance of a woman, is what fuels a collection that yields infinite strength and supremacy. The collection 'BAINS' implements dead stock of worn gloves into my work, sparked from an idea of making my collection preeminent and sustainable. Amidst this, the collection explores the feminine stance of what arguably is a masculine subject, by redefining what femininity can be. Deconstructing, adhering to the essential values of circular fashion; learning to craft from atypical deadstock. Strong and dark silhouettes combined with regal metallics distressed through patch working and metal work; generates fierce and outspoken looks that utilise the unimaginable into the exceptional.
