Joan's Heart of Glass

Since I was a child, art has always excited me. A lot of inspiration came from looking at my mum's sketchbook when she was my age. Having the opportunity to study Fashion Design at Birmingham City university has provided me with all the tools I need to bring my visions to life and have gained many valuable skills, including software, that will carry me through into future opportunities. :Joan's Heart of glass' is my graduate collection and celebrates the mind and art form of a woman. This concept is about woman's confidence and empowerment through the use of clothes. I have used iconic women as muses such as Joan of Arc, Debbie Harry and my own personal muse, my mum, who has helped source the sustainable elements to the outfits including old leather jackets from her wardrobe.
