This final collection explores the childish, colourful nature of Wes Andersons film ‘The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou’. A common theme in Anderson films is the nature in which the adults are incredibly childish and the younger children in the films are mature and organised, I have used this to experiment with oversized, triangle silhouettes, referencing back to our younger selves playing dress up in our parents clothing. Long floor length garments that sit high on the shoulders create my silhouette for my collection. I have also experimented with tailoring to help characterise each of my looks, in Wes Anderson films each and every character is stylised very strongly, creating a very distinct and recognisable character with lots of personality. I have used this with both contrasting colours and trimmings in my line up to help each of my looks strongly stand with differing personalities.
