My fashion manifesto is dedicated to the exploration of minimalism and geometric abstraction. Embracing simplicity as both a design choice and a philosophical way of life, I aspire to create garments that transcend function to express cultural and personal identity. A hallmark of my work is an innovative approach to garment structure and pattern design. With a keen sensitivity to fabrics and techniques, I experiment with unconventional materials and methods. By combining geometric shapes and exploring new silhouettes, I push the boundaries of traditional fashion, offering a fresh perspective that balances avant-garde aesthetics with functional design. My master project draws inspiration from Albert Camus' existentialist philosophy, particularly his novel "The Stranger." I integrate elements of 1940s attire, such as trench coats, suits, and shirts, using geometric design techniques to depict the interplay and displacement between personal and external spaces. This approach conveys themes of randomness and rebellion, complemented by transparent fabrics to evoke fragility and transparency. My commitment to innovation extends to challenging gender boundaries in fashion. By incorporating traditional feminine fabrics, such as organza and velvet, into menswear designs, I challenge social norms and promote more flexible and inclusive gender expression. I strive to balance the integrity of design, the quality of materials, and the commercial viability of my creations. I use minimalist geometric clothing to express my identity in a diverse society. As a female designer passionate about menswear, I aim to break gender boundaries in fashion. Immersed in menswear culture, I became eager to incorporate its meticulous tailoring, craftsmanship, and practicality into women's design, leading to the creation of Lumos Atelier. My brand blends masculinity and femininity, reflecting a deep fashion perspective shaped by critical reflection.
