I’m Viba - As a passionate and innovative Fashion Knitwear designer, I have dedicated myself to the art of creating clothing and fabrics that not only reflect contemporary trends but also push the boundaries of design and functionality. My journey into the world of fashion began at a young age, inspired by the vibrant textiles and the rich styles I encountered during my A-level studies. This early exposure fuelled my desire to explore the intricate relationship between fabric, form, and function, ultimately leading me to pursue a formal education in fashion and textile design. My education has provided me with a solid foundation in textile technology (KNIT), garment construction, and fashion history, while also encouraging myself to develop my unique design perspective. I am particularly drawn to sustainable fashion practices and the innovative use of eco-friendly materials, believing that the future of fashion lies in its ability to harmonize with the environment. My practical work in the studio has been crucial in refining my abilities. I have developed proficiency in pattern making, sewing, draping, and using knit machines. I am adept at using design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to bring my visions to life. Additionally, I have had the privilege of working on collaborative projects with industry professionals, which has enriched my understanding of the fashion business and the importance of teamwork and communication in this dynamic field. I am driven by a desire to create clothing that tells a story and resonates with the wearer on a personal level. As I continue to evolve as a designer, I am committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation while adhering to principles of sustainability and ethical fashion.
